Represented is a tool to help you organize your legal case. We take your privacy seriously — especially because the information you enter may be sensitive. This policy explains plainly what we collect, what we don't, and how your data is handled.
When you create an account and use Represented, the following is stored:
All data is associated with your account and stored securely on our servers. We do not sell, share, or use your information for advertising purposes.
Represented requires a free account to use. Your case data is tied to your account and accessible across devices when you sign in. Passwords are stored as secure one-way hashes — we cannot recover your password, only reset it.
Files you upload (PDFs, images, documents) are stored on our servers and associated with your account. They are used only to provide the document explanation feature. We do not sell, share, or use your documents for any other purpose.
Document explanations and legal drafts are generated using OpenAI's API. When you upload a document, request a draft, or use voice input, the relevant text or audio is sent to OpenAI for processing (audio, for transcription). OpenAI's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy. We do not store your prompts beyond what is saved to your case.
If you upgrade to Represented Pro, your payment is processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We receive only your email address, a Stripe customer ID, and your subscription status, which we use solely to unlock paid features on your account.
Transactional emails we send you — like password resets — are delivered through Resend. Resend receives your email address and the content of that specific email only; it is not used for marketing and we don't send you anything through it beyond account-related messages you'd expect.
Your case data is retained on our servers for as long as your account is active. It is tied to your account, not shared anonymously, and accessible only when you're signed in. If you'd like your account and data deleted, email us at the address below from the account's registered email.
Your data is served over HTTPS. Access to your case data requires signing in to your account. That said, Represented is not intended to replace a secure legal document management system — do not rely on it as your only copy of important evidence or filings.

Nothing generated by this application constitutes legal advice. Always consult a licensed attorney when possible.
